June was such a special lady. She spoke her mind and had a heart of gold. She couldn’t stand injustice though and was honest and straight forward. She was loads of fun and very kind. I remember when I was ill myself many years ago, she brought me medicine and did everything that she could to help me. I had never experienced that kind of care from anyone other than my mum. It came so naturally to her. June loved children and she also had a great love of dogs. Her dogs, my dogs and all dogs. She delighted in them and they knew it! She was arty and creative and always made the most of what she had. She idolised her family and the grandchildren were a great source of pride and comfort to her. I’m so sad that she’s gone now and I wish that I had spent more time with her in recent years. But having said that, I have many special memories of when we did meet up and it was great that she was able to come to Maria’s wedding. Xxx
